[Father of Smart Contracts: Elliptic Curve Cryptography Is About to Be Phased Out, Developers Should Quickly Realize the Need for Built-in Cryptographic Algorithm Variability in Networks] According to a report by Jinse Finance, Nic Carter, the father of smart contracts and co-founder of CastleIsland Ventures, posted on the X platform stating that elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) is on the verge of being phased out. Whether it’s in 3 years or 10 years, this era is coming to an end, and we must accept this reality. The only thing that matters is how quickly blockchain developers can realize that they need to introduce variable cryptographic mechanisms into their networks. This will undoubtedly require a complete rethinking of how these systems operate. Currently, cryptographic mechanisms are hardcoded into systems, but this will have to change. The Ethereum community has already realized this. Others still seem paralyzed by fear. Unless the situation changes quickly, the price of ETH/BTC will begin to reflect this divergence in priorities.
