[Sonic Labs Launches Native Stablecoin AmericaD Backed by U.S. Treasury Bonds]
Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 12, according to Crowdfundinsider, Sonic Labs has officially launched the native stablecoin AmericaD. This stablecoin is backed by U.S. Treasury bonds and positioned as the core source of stable liquidity for the Sonic network. AmericaD is built on Frax's frxUSD stablecoin infrastructure, with reserve assets consisting of tokenized Treasury bonds provided by BlackRock, WisdomTree, and Superstate. Users can mint AmericaD with USDC at a 1:1 ratio and redeem it back into USDC via chains supporting CCTP. Compliant users meeting KYC/AML requirements can also directly exchange the stablecoin for U.S. dollars into their bank accounts. Sonic Labs core contributor Samuel Harcourt stated that AmericaD is a foundational initiative of their vertical integration plan, aimed at introducing institutional-grade yields and establishing external revenue sources beyond the S token.
