Crypto and risk assets rally as the dollar retreats following comments from Donald Trump suggesting the conflict in Iran may end soon, while bitcoin still faces a broader downtrend. What to know : BTC gained about 3.9% since midnight UTC while ETH reclaimed the $2,000 level as the broader crypto market moved higher. The Dollar Index (DXY) fell to 98.5 after Trump said the Iran war could end “very soon,” helping lift crypto, equities and precious metals while oil pulled back. Despite the rally, bitcoin remains in a broader downtrend dating back to early October, and would need to climb toward $98,000 with stronger support levels to reverse the pattern.
