[German Robotics Startup Neura Secures Approximately €1 Billion in Funding, Tether Participates] Odaily Planet Daily News – German robotics startup Neura Robotics is raising approximately €1 billion (around $1.2 billion) in funding, with stablecoin issuer Tether Holdings SA participating in the investment. The funds will be used to develop AI-driven humanoid robots. This round of funding values the company at approximately €4 billion, with potential for further financing in the future. Neura Robotics, headquartered in Metzingen, Germany, currently sells products including factory transport robots and robotic arm devices for home use. The company's CEO, David Reger, previously stated that the company’s order volume last year was close to $1 billion, with clients including Japan's Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Omron. In January 2025, the company completed a €120 million funding round led by Lingotto Investment Management, a subsidiary of Exor. This investment marks Tether's latest move to expand beyond the crypto business, following its previous investments in brain-computer interface company Blackrock Neurotech and Italian robotics startup Generative Bionics.
