She stated that as of now, the US military has struck over 2000 targets, destroyed a large number of missiles, launchers, and drones, and sunk more than 20 Iranian ships, including one submarine. She said that currently there are no Iranian warships active in the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz, and Gulf of Oman, and the US military is expected to achieve "complete control" of Iran's airspace in the coming hours. Six American soldiers have been killed in this operation. When asked if it is possible to send ground troops to Iran, Levitt said that ground troops are not currently included in the action plan, but the president will not rule out any military options.
