**[U.S. Judge Orders: Stop Calculating Importers' IEEPA Tariffs]** According to a report by Jinse Finance, a U.S. judge has ordered the federal government to suspend a key step in the tariff payment process to simplify subsequent refund procedures. This follows the U.S. Supreme Court's overturning of Trump's global tariff policy. In a ruling issued on Wednesday, Richard Eaton, a federal trade judge based in New York, ordered Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to stop calculating the emergency tariffs imposed by Trump on importers' customs declarations. He also questioned why the government continued such practices after the Supreme Court ruled these tariffs illegal. Eaton further instructed authorities to recalculate specific tariffs that had gone through the customs process under the aforementioned step and to remove Trump's controversial import taxes. The judge confirmed that he has been assigned to handle thousands of refund lawsuits filed in the trade court to date.
