Curve Finance: Investigation into sDOLA LlamaLend attack launched, attackers have limited profits
Odaily Planet Daily News: In response to the suspected attack on Inverse Finance, which resulted in a loss of approximately $240000 in funds, Curve Finance announced in an article on X platform that it has launched an investigation into the sDOLA LlamaLoan attack. Preliminary evidence suggests that the cause of the attack is related to the price oracle mechanism used by sDOLA (or affected by "donation attacks") and the number of sDOLAs not used as collateral in the market. Although the attacker's profit from this incident is relatively limited, it highlights the need for stricter handling when using vault collateral as collateral in LlamaLend. The main impact is that users borrowing with sDOLA as collateral are liquidated, and lenders who are not affected are not affected. Currently, the Curve team is further investigating whether there are other similar markets that may be affected in the future, and ensuring that LlamaLend V2 can maintain security even in the face of vault collateral assets that are "vulnerable to donation attacks" and in different market sizes, or effectively alleviate similar attacks. We are currently conducting a detailed evaluation of relevant plans and plan to integrate relevant mechanisms in all future markets that use vault collateral.
