However, overall, the number of venture capital deals hit a 5.5-year low, with funding down about 80% from the 2022 peak. Funds are being concentrated in a few specific areas, such as stablecoin infrastructure, custody, and compliance tools. 85% of tokens launching in 2025 are trading below their opening price, and the VC narrative has shifted to being 'revenue-focused.'
