[Two Frictions Occur Before U.S.-Iran Talks, Trump: This Week's Negotiations Will Continue]
According to Golden Finance, U.S. President Trump stated to reporters after signing the appropriations bill that negotiations with Iran will continue this week, and Iran is willing to take action. White House Press Secretary Levitt previously stated that despite Iran's request to adjust the location and format of the talks, the negotiations between the U.S. and Iran are still planned to take place this week. Levitt also mentioned that if diplomatic efforts fail, Trump still retains the option of taking military action, adding that Trump 'still holds multiple options regarding the Iran issue.' Earlier, the U.S. claimed to have shot down an Iranian drone approaching the USS Lincoln aircraft carrier. Additionally, there were reports that Iranian armed speedboats attempted but failed to intercept a U.S.-flagged oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz.
