According to DLNews, Kazakhstan's central bank investment subsidiary NIC announced plans to use cryptocurrencies, gold, and foreign currencies confiscated by law enforcement to boost the national crypto reserves, with $350 million allocated. Head Timur Suleimenov stated that cryptocurrencies will be purchased through five hedge funds. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev mentioned that police have shut down 130 illegal exchanges (with revenues of approximately $124 million) and seized assets worth over $5 million.
