Here’s what I know so far: DEV is a foreigner, super skilled in tech, and genuinely wants to create a long-term, ambitious project. But his previous project (the earlier burn) ran into issues because of a problem with the oracle, which caused the prize distribution to get stuck and the whole thing froze. At that time, he even asked me to help contact @flapdotsh, the Butterfly team, to see if they could salvage it. But the team replied that they didn’t have the authority to make changes, so the project just died. In the end, DEV had no choice but to bite the bullet, give up, and start over from scratch, which led to the current burns project. This time, he’s made some improvements, including: • Optimized the oracle-based prize distribution mechanism. • Added a new feature where you can earn rewards by tweeting (posting and interacting), kind of like that 1 coin project from before, but this one is open-source. • Since he learned from last time, I suggested he hold off on giving up all contract permissions right away. Instead, keep them for a few days to see if the system can run smoothly for a few rounds. If there are no major issues, then consider relinquishing permissions. If you want to play it safe, you can also wait until he fully gives up permissions and the contract becomes completely decentralized before deciding whether to jump in.
