According to Wu Blockchain, Huobi HTX released an update regarding the Flow (FLOW) network security incident, stating that on December 27, 2025, Flow was attacked due to a protocol-level vulnerability. The attacker unauthorizedly minted and circulated a large amount of FLOW, disrupting the network and market order. HTX said it immediately assisted the project team with on-chain tracking and risk control measures, and imposed restrictions on identifiable hacker-related assets. However, the Flow project team, without sufficient communication, unilaterally used protocol-level permissions to forcibly transfer FLOW assets from exchange addresses, including those of HTX. This included a significant amount of legitimate user holdings acquired through real market transactions, which they plan to destroy on January 30, 2026. HTX pointed out that this approach goes against the principles of decentralization and harms the rights of exchanges and users. Previously, Flow released a post-incident report on the December 27, 2025 security event: the attacker exploited a Cadence VM type confusion vulnerability to forge tokens, resulting in approximately $3.9 million in assets being transferred out via a cross-chain bridge. https://www.(wublock123.com)/index.php?m=content&c=index&a=show&catid=6&id=55010
