These tokens have now been isolated and restricted on-chain, awaiting destruction. The permanent destruction of the counterfeit tokens is scheduled for January 30, 2026. Additionally, the foundation has arranged to revoke the additional access permissions granted to the Community Governance Committee for recovery operations as of today. Foresight News previously reported that Flow released a review report on the attack incident, stating that the attackers exploited a vulnerability in the Flow network to forge tokens, stealing approximately $3.9 million through cross-chain operations. The attack did not access or compromise any existing user balances. The attackers replicated assets but did not affect legitimately held assets. The vast majority of counterfeit assets were either stored on-chain or frozen by exchange partners before being liquidated.
