“The default return on a seed startup investment is ZERO.” important for both founders and investors (angels or VCs) to understand and acknowledge. if you’re grinding to return 0.2x - 2x back to your investors, OR grinding your founders to hit this goal, you might be wasting everyone’s time. there are some scenarios where partial recovery of capital / modest returns are important, but most of the time it’s a rounding error.(Dave McClure)
