[Bank of Japan Reportedly Plans More Rate Hikes, Some Officials Believe Neutral Rate Exceeds 1%] Odaily Planet Daily News – According to informed sources, Bank of Japan officials believe that before the current rate hike cycle ends, interest rates are likely to rise above 0.75%, indicating that after next week's rate hike, there may be additional hikes. These sources stated that officials believe that even with rates raised to 0.75%, the Bank of Japan has not yet reached the neutral rate level. Some officials already believe that 1% is still below the neutral rate level. Informed sources revealed that even if the Bank of Japan updates its neutral rate estimates based on the latest data, it currently does not believe the range will narrow significantly. The Bank of Japan's current estimate for the nominal neutral rate range is approximately 1% to 2.5%. Sources noted that Bank of Japan officials believe there may be errors in the upper and lower bounds of this range itself. (Jin10)
