Today (December 8, 2025), Hyperliquid officially announced a major update: USDC has achieved native connectivity between HyperCore (the trading core layer) and HyperEVM via Circle's CCTP protocol. Simply put, @arbitrum and hyperliquid are about to "cut the bridge"—the Arbitrum bridge will gradually be phased out and become history. But in the short term, it will still be usable and won’t be shut down immediately. If you currently have funds in the Arbitrum bridge, don’t panic; the official team will provide time for migration. This upgrade is a key step in Hyperliquid’s evolution toward a fully independent, high-performance L1. In the future, users will be able to directly deposit USDC from CCTP-supported chains (including Arbitrum, Ethereum, Base, etc.) into HyperCore with one click, enabling native minting. Current situation (transition period): No immediate changes—users can still deposit and withdraw funds using the old Arbitrum bridge as usual. New method is now live: Deposit USDC directly into HyperCore from chains like Arbitrum via CCTP (Circle has already deployed the Arbitrum route, with other chains following soon). Both users and developers will have ample time to migrate.
