BTC ETH There are three key dates in December, and the market in the next three weeks will revolve around these dates. Here's a quick summary for everyone: First: December 11th, the Federal Reserve will announce its interest rate decision. Previously, it was expected that there would be no rate cut in December, but now the probability of a rate cut is very high, at 87%. Second: December 19th, the Bank of Japan will announce its interest rate decision. The market previously expected no rate hike from the BOJ in December, but on Monday this week, the BOJ governor's public statement hinted at a high probability of a rate hike on the 19th. Third: December 26th, the massive year-end options expiry for Bitcoin. This is arguably the most important expiry date in the options market, as it marks both the end of Q4 and the final expiry of the year. The scale is huge, with a nominal value reaching $23 billion. The first two are major news events. Normally, decisions like a Fed rate cut or a BOJ rate hike are already significant, but this time, the market's expectations for both have shifted from the initial forecasts, adding even more uncertainty to the market. The third is about options data. Currently, the max pain point for Bitcoin options is $100K, with the highest PUT peak at $84K. This suggests that in December, it's unlikely for Bitcoin's price to break and hold above $100K. Meanwhile, institutions have placed protective PUTs around the $84K level. A few days ago, when Bitcoin dropped below $84K, it quickly rebounded without much consolidation, likely due to this reason.
