The 'Victory of Short-Term Trading is Also the Path to Ruin' Last night, I sold a small portion at 90900 and 91200. I sold 16% first, just to lock in some gains. I'd rather earn a little less and stay calm. I didn’t dare to go all-in. Even though I got it right this time, relying on short-term predictions is still the path to ruin. It distorts your thinking, makes you short-sighted, and leans you toward gambling. In the end, you become part of the collective losses in the probability stream. Long-term, you’re bound to lose. If your mindset isn’t strong enough and you really can’t resist trading short-term, every time you make a move, you should read something by Buffett, Munger, or Duan Yongping. Even the Diamond Sutra works, to counteract the gambling tendencies born from this mindset. The long and short of trading, the long and short of perspective— Investing and gambling are separated by just a single thought.
