[Upbit: Approximately 54 billion KRW worth of Solana network assets stolen, deposit and withdrawal services suspended for comprehensive inspection]
South Korean cryptocurrency exchange Upbit has issued an announcement stating that deposit and withdrawal services have been suspended, and a comprehensive inspection process is underway. At around 04:42 local time on November 27, 2025, Upbit confirmed that Solana network-related assets worth 54 billion KRW (approximately $36.81 million) were transferred to an unknown external wallet. The digital assets involved include 2Z, ACS, BONK, DOOD, DRIFT, HUMA, IO, JTO, JUP, LAYER, ME, MEW, MOODENG, ORCA, PENGU, PYTH, RAY, RENDER, SOL, SONIC, SOON, TRUMP, USDC, and W.
To protect user assets, Upbit has immediately taken the following measures:
1. Transferred all assets to a secure cold wallet to prevent further abnormal transactions;
2. Initiated on-chain freezing attempts and prepared to cooperate with law enforcement investigations;
3. Conducted a comprehensive security inspection of deposit and withdrawal processes.
