Michael Saylor posted a response to the MSCI index issue: Our belief in Bitcoin is unwavering!
He stated that Strategy is not a fund, not a trust, and not a holding company.
We are a publicly traded operating company with a $500 million software business, employing a unique capital management strategy that treats Bitcoin as productive capital.
Just this year alone, we completed five public offerings of digital credit securities: STRK, STRF, STRD, STRC, and STRE — with a total nominal value exceeding $7.7 billion. Additionally, we launched Stretch (STRC), a revolutionary Bitcoin-backed treasury credit instrument that provides institutional and individual investors with monthly floating dollar yields.
Funds and trusts passively hold assets. Holding companies hold investments. We, on the other hand, are responsible for creating, building, issuing, and operating.
Our team is building a new type of enterprise — a Bitcoin-based structured finance company with the ability to innovate in both capital markets and software.
No passive investment tool or holding company can do what we are doing.
Index classifications do not define us. Our strategy is long-term, our belief in Bitcoin is unwavering, and our mission remains the same:
To build the world’s first digital currency institution on the foundation of sound money and financial innovation.
