You don’t learn who’s overlevered in DeFi from docs, you learn it from volatility.
The October 10 crash exposed an important truth about DeFi that most people miss:
You see which protocols were actually built properly and which ones weren't.
That’s why @ben_solstice’s post from Solstice stood out to me. He was talking about the boring stuff most people ignore until it’s too late.
• Can you actually verify the collateral?
• Who controls the assets?
• Is the yield coming from one trade or multiple sources?
• What happens if everyone tries to withdraw at once?
During the chaos, USX held its peg with Collateral staying >100%.
Now they’re focusing towards providing daily transparency so people don’t have to rely on once-in-a-while updates.
And while all of this was happening, USX quietly grew to ~275M TVL with 24k holders in just six weeks.
And now USX is live on @ExponentFinance too. This opens up two simple paths:
1. PT-USX: lock in a fixed return by swapping USX at a small discount for swap fees + boosted Flares.
2. YT-USX: doesn’t give base yield, it gives you the Flares exposure upfront and Exponent boosts it by 30x.
(It only pays if the Flares end up being worth more than what you spent on YT)
One’s for steady yield, the others for people who want
to swing a little harder.
Glad to partner with @solsticefi while they try to build something that can survive more than just the good days.(Edgy - The DeFi Edge 🗡️)
