What’s the difference between ICOs now and back then? It’s pretty simple. Why were ICOs in 2017 so badass? You’d throw in your money in the afternoon, the project team would unlock 100% of the tokens by evening, and by 9 PM, it’d be listed on OKCoin and Gate with a 5x pump, starting at 10x. Back then, every step of the ICO process was fair: Ethereum address and whitepaper sent over, you send money, they send tokens, and then you wait for the listing. And now? ICOs require KYC, pretending to exclude Chinese participants. Communities sending money have to put on a show. Project teams drag their feet on token distribution. Listings require endless internal reviews by exchanges. Research? What research? Exchanges endlessly debate internally, and by the time it’s listed, who’s even left to pump it? Making money is getting harder and harder. Whose fault is it? Every single step is a damn mess. Open Twitter, and it’s either influencers hyping nonsense or people throwing shade at each other. Institutions keep replaying “bullish” news that has absolutely nothing to do with making money. Everyone wants a piece of the pie. Everyone is shitting on this industry. Back in 2017, the crypto world didn’t have all this bullshit. It was just about making money—pure, unadulterated, extreme money-making.
