People keep arguing Trump was trying to find a way to get SNAP funded and his “hands were tied” But when courts granted the right to send funds he: -Had his DoJ go to SCOTUS to fight that and re-freeze it. -Had USDA send an order saying any state that did distribute funds during that time did it illegally and must undo the distribution. He is actively telling states to CLAWBACK distributed SNAP funds. He does not have to do any of this. When the lower courts granted distribution, he could have considered that a win.
