The global housing crisis is too vast for any single country to resolve. We must therefore harness the power of multilateralism to confront it. Kenya proposes the establishment of a Coalition of Global Housing Champions, a high-level political platform of like-minded Heads of State and Government advocating for transformative and inclusive housing policies and practices. This coalition will drive global action to scale up financing, build partnerships, and align with UN-Habitat, affirming housing as essential to dignity, security, and opportunity. Addressed a high-level platform on the sidelines of UNGA, New York, bringing together countries, UN Habitat, development partners, and local financial institutions.
