Botswana to Host Africa Biodiversity Summit 2025 I had the honor to speak at the launch of the African Keynote Protected Area Partnership in New York, a landmark initiative aimed at safeguarding Africa’s rich biodiversity, vital ecosystems, and the livelihoods they sustain. During the event, I was proud to announce that Botswana will host the Africa Biodiversity Summit from November 2–5, 2025. In attendance with Presidents @CyrilRamaphosa of South Africa, Daniel Chapo of Mozambique, Netembo Nandi-Ndaitwah of Namibia, and other African leaders, we emphasized that conservation is both an ecological necessity and an economic opportunity. The summit, to be co-hosted by the African Union, will take place under the theme “Leveraging Africa’s Biodiversity for Prosperity” and has already drawn global support, including from philanthropists and conservation champions Rob Walton and others. I invite everyone to Gaborone, where leaders, experts, and delegates will gather to advance innovative solutions for biodiversity protection and sustainable resource management. #AfricaBiodiversitySummit25 #SustainableAfrica #GoBotswana #UNGA25(Duma Gideon Boko)
