Hong Kong AI Efficiency Enhancement Task Force to Formulate Work Plan and Timeline in November This Year

According to a report by Jinse Finance, the new Policy Address of the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region was released on September 17. At a press conference this afternoon (20th), Deputy Chief Secretary for Administration of the Hong Kong SAR Government, Cheuk Wing-hing, announced the work arrangements of the "AI Efficiency Enhancement Task Force." He stated that the task force will proactively review departmental business processes and technology applications, providing targeted AI application, digital transformation, and process reengineering solutions to improve service efficiency and quality, promote innovative service applications, and optimize resource utilization. Cheuk Wing-hing noted that the "AI Efficiency Enhancement Task Force" will formulate its work plan and timeline in November this year and submit a report to the Chief Executive, with the goal of launching related projects next year. These include introducing AI tools covering 100 administrative processes by 2026 and rolling out flagship AI projects in the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 fiscal years. (Voice of the Greater Bay Area)
