Oxford Economics Institute: European Central Bank may not cut interest rates in September

According to a report by Golden Finance, Oxford Economics Research Institute stated that as inflation stabilizes at the European Central Bank's target level, the ECB may not cut interest rates in September. The data released last week showed that the inflation rate remained stable at 2.0% in July. This may prevent the European Central Bank's Management Committee from reducing borrowing costs again, as the committee maintained the deposit rate at 2.0% last month. Although we still believe that inflation will ease in the coming months, we believe that the progress in inflation is not enough to convince the committee to agree to another interest rate cut at that time.
