According to a report by Golden Finance, the Bank of England reiterated its guidance to "adopt a gradual and cautious approach" in further reducing borrowing costs, but added a new clue to its outlook message, suggesting that its interest rate cuts may be coming to an end. The Bank of England stated that "with the reduction of interest rates, the restrictive nature of monetary policy has decreased," and no longer directly stated that policy remains restrictive. The Bank of England reiterates that there is no pre-set path for interest rates. Stopping the interest rate cut process will be a blow to Chancellor of the Exchequer Reeves and Prime Minister Stamer, who have been working hard to fulfill their promises to voters and accelerate the slow economic growth in the UK. Bailey said that the decision to cut interest rates for the fifth time since August last year is "very balanced," although he believes that interest rates are still on the downward path.
