Thune filed cloture on President Trump's nomination of David Wright to a new 5-year term on the Nuclear Regulatory Commission through June 2030. He had served on NRC since 2018 & was appointed as chair by Trump in January, though his term expired June 30. He's expected to be reappointed NRC chair if he's confirmed.(Craig Caplan)
