According to Golden Finance, Erica Williams, the Chairman of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) in the United States, has resigned after being asked to do so by Paul Atkins, the Chairman of the Securities and Exchange Commission. According to an email sent by Williams to PCAOB employees, her last working day will be July 22nd. Williams became the Chairman of PCAOB in January 2022 and was reappointed in June 2024.
