The visa exemption agreement between China and Malaysia will come into effect on July 17th

According to CCTV News, the Agreement between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of Malaysia on Mutual Exemption of Visa Requirements for Holders of Official Ordinary Passports and Ordinary Passports will come into effect on July 17, 2025. According to the agreement, individuals holding valid Chinese official ordinary passports, ordinary passports, and Malaysian ordinary passports who enter, exit, or transit through the other contracting party for the purpose of leisure tourism, visiting relatives and friends, business activities, exchange visits, personal affairs, medical care, and international transportation (crew members), and stay for no more than 30 days, with a cumulative stay of no more than 90 days per 180 days, are exempt from visa application.
