According to Cryptonews, North American Bitcoin mining company Hut 8 registered and established a new office in the Dubai International Financial Center last week, focusing on digital asset trading and fund management business. The CEO of the company stated that this move aims to improve the accuracy and efficiency of capital strategies, and is currently forming a local team. Hut 8 currently operates mines in Texas, New York, and Alberta, Canada, with approximately 220 employees. Dubai's zero corporate tax policy and relaxed regulatory environment continue to attract cryptocurrency companies to settle in. It is worth noting that the company is affiliated with American Bitcoin Corp, which is supported by the Trump family, but the Dubai business is an independent operating plan. Previously, Hut 8 had announced the merger of most of its mining operations into American Bitcoin Corp, retaining 80% equity after the merger, with a 20% stake held by Trump family affiliated companies. The new company is expected to go public in the second half of 2025.
