According to CNN, a key advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei is calling for missile attacks on US Navy vessels and the blockade of the key oil transportation channel, the Strait of Hormuz. Hossein Shariatmadari, the editor in chief of Iran's World newspaper, warned that "after the US attack on the Fordo nuclear facility, it is now our turn to take action." As a well-known conservative voice, he had previously claimed to be a "representative" of Supreme Leader Khamenei. He said, "As a first step, we must launch missile attacks on the US Navy fleet stationed in Bahrain without hesitation or delay, and close the Strait of Hormuz to ships from the US, UK, Germany, and France." Currently, Supreme Leader Khamenei has not made an official response to the US attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. (Golden Ten)
