It’s amazing how a simple conversation can change things. Sometimes all it takes is willingness to listen, an understanding of the problem, and the will to do something about it no matter how small, and even as a temporary solution until the more long-term fix materializes. Small deeds can make a big difference and I am grateful to have met and spoken with the people of Lewis as I drove through the area recently, and learnt how much a of headache this dark area in the community was. I committed to doing something about it and today I am pleased to say the people of Lewis are feeling a little more comfortable. We have now installed two brand new street lights, bringing immediate improvement to safety, visibility, and overall peace of mind for residents. As a responsive government, we are identifying needs, taking swift action, and producing results. We remain focused on improving infrastructure in every community, no matter how small, because every Jamaican deserves to feel safe, seen, and supported.
