According to Bloomberg, JPMorgan will pilot the issuance of a deposit token called JPMD on the public chain Base associated with Coinbase, to represent the bank's US dollar deposits. The pilot will be launched within a few days, initially transferring a fixed amount of JPMD from JPMorgan's digital wallet to Coinbase, with tokens only open to institutional clients.
