According to TechCrunch, artificial intelligence voice startup Toma has raised $17 million in Series A funding, led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z). Toma was founded in early 2024 by Monik Pamecha and Anthony Krivonos, who had previously participated in Y Combinator's accelerator program. The company's artificial intelligence voice agent is currently used in over 100 car dealerships in the United States to handle service bookings, parts orders, and customer phone calls, alleviating staffing issues. Toma plans to expand with new funds while continuing its subscription model.
