According to The Block, zero knowledge proof development company Lagrange Labs announced the establishment of an independent foundation and plans to launch the ecological token LA. The total number of tokens is 1 billion, of which 10% will be distributed through airdrops. The registration period is from May 28th to June 2nd. The airdrop is mainly aimed at users who have participated in the Turing Roulette test game, and participants need to complete uniqueness and humanity verification. LA tokens will be used to pay for zero knowledge proof generation fees and pledges, using an economic model of "proof demand=token demand". When users use ETH, USDC, or LA to pay proof fees, a portion of the fees will be distributed as rewards to the proof nodes. The network sets an annual inflation rate of 4% to subsidize the cost of proof. The tokens of early contributors and investors will be locked in for 1 year after generation and released linearly over 2 years. The Prover network developed by Lagrange Labs is built on EigenLayer and has raised a total of $17 million in funding, including a $13.2 million seed round led by Founder Fund in May 2024.
