The UK Maritime Trade Operations office recently released its weekly report, showing that between October 9 and 13 alone, 12 merchant ships were attacked in the Strait of Hormuz, 8 of which involved oil tankers. On October 11 alone, 5 oil tankers were attacked. Today, Iran's Revolutionary Guard claimed that another supertanker carrying over 2 million barrels of crude oil hit a mine and caught fire after turning off its positioning and radar systems and entering what they called an unauthorized route. This is the second tanker Iran has reported in the past 24 hours. Although the oil market is closed for the weekend, Binance's oil contracts still show an upward trend. Currently, WTI has surpassed $100, and Brent has even briefly broken $110 in the short term. Trump keeps bragging about solving the oil problem and controlling Hormuz, only to get slapped in the face by Iran again. Check out @Gate for trading more markets.
