Celestia Launches Eden High-Performance EVM Chain as On-Chain Sandbox for AI Agent Commerce Experiments

Golden Finance reports that modular blockchain project Celestia has announced the launch of Eden, a high-performance EVM-compatible chain built on Celestia. Eden is positioned as an experimental sandbox for "Agentic Commerce," designed to test the behavior and infrastructure requirements of AI Agents in on-chain autonomous payments, transactions, and large model interactions. The first experimental project on Eden is a closed testing initiative called Botfun. Within the project, AI Agents can independently issue tokens and conduct transactions based on narratives generated by other Agents. Each AI model inference call completes on-chain payments via the x402 protocol. This experiment briefly made Eden one of the largest x402 networks by transaction volume. In terms of technical features, Eden, as an EVM-compatible chain, supports atomic batch transactions, application-level Gas fee delegation, deployment of larger smart contracts, and uses TIA as its native Gas token. The design reduces friction caused by signatures and fees during the continuous payment, exchange, and interaction processes of AI Agents.
