Although the Korean stock market triggered a circuit breaker, there are actually two pieces of good news today. One is that the probability of a rate hike in October has dropped again, and the other is that both short- and long-term U.S. Treasury yields have also declined. For a long time, the issues troubling U.S. stocks, aside from aging themes and inflated valuations leading to higher profit expectations, have been the competition for liquidity between U.S. stocks, U.S. Treasuries, and corporate bonds. Now, the decline in U.S. stocks has driven liquidity into U.S. Treasuries, easing the Treasury crisis. At the same time, gold, which is directly linked to interest rates, has remained relatively stable overall. In the absence of a larger liquidity crisis, gold should be able to maintain its stability. Even if there’s a short-term dip caused by a sudden liquidity crunch, the support from central bank gold purchases ensures its safety remains high, making it a suitable low-risk asset for bottom-fishing. Tonight’s PPI data will most likely continue the trend of yesterday’s CPI. Even if it unexpectedly comes in lower than expected and provides a positive surprise, it will probably only trigger a small rebound and won’t change the downward trend. After this wave of declines, the market will likely need to wait for the FOMC decision and positive developments like easing tensions between the U.S. and Iran to gradually stabilize. Stay patient and wait it out. @BITstocks_CN Buy U.S. stocks on BIT, with access to 10,000+ U.S. stocks and ETFs, real holdings, and dividend payouts. #InvestSmart #USStocks
