The Fed dropped a CPI report, and it knocked the price of $BTC flat! Could things get even worse from here?
If Trump really orders an attack on Iran after the midterm elections, plus the never-ending conflict between the Houthis and Saudi Arabia, wouldn’t international oil prices skyrocket?
Historically, during every U.S. midterm election year, $BTC has taken a big hit. Will this time be any different?
Even though mid-sized whales are accumulating, and ETF institutions along with BlackRock are occasionally buying $BTC, the macro fundamentals are undeniably unfavorable for Bitcoin.
Meanwhile, the 10-year and 30-year U.S. Treasury yields have already surged to around 5.5%. Zero-yield assets are being repriced, and the U.S. stock market is being propped up by the market caps of a few tech giants like Microsoft, Apple, and META. Beneath the illusion of a high DXY, a large number of U.S. stocks have already tanked into the mud.
A December rate hike by the Fed is almost a done deal! If the DXY also takes a dive afterward, and U.S. stocks crash across the board, the impact will definitely spill over to Bitcoin, dragging it down as well. When the nest collapses, how can any eggs remain intact?
That’s why I’m maintaining a pessimistic outlook on Bitcoin’s performance before the December rate hike. We need to wait for the U.S. midterm elections to settle, the December rate hike to be finalized, and for the macro fundamentals to become clear. Once all the bad news is priced in, only then might Bitcoin have a chance to recover.
Before the December rate hike, there’s a high probability that the Bitcoin bull market will take a step back! Do you think that’s a good thing or a bad thing?
