[PancakeSwap Proposes Increasing LP Fee Share to 88% and Reducing Daily CAKE Emissions by 69%]
According to Deep Tide TechFlow on October 14, PancakeSwap's core team (The Kitchen) has released a tokenomics proposal titled 'The Flip.' The proposal suggests increasing the fee share for liquidity providers (LPs) on PancakeSwap v3 and Infinity to 88% across all 11 supported chains, with the remaining 12% allocated as protocol fees to the treasury. The fee structure for v2 will remain unchanged.
At the same time, the proposal recommends reducing CAKE's daily emissions by approximately 69%, from 22,500 tokens per day to 7,000 tokens per day. The remaining 7,000 CAKE tokens after the reduction will be fully allocated to a new ecosystem growth fund called 'Pantry,' which will be used for market expansion, partnerships, and initial liquidity guidance for new pools.
If the proposal is approved, the adjustments are planned to begin implementation in November 2026 and are expected to be fully deployed by the end of January 2027.
