According to a report by The Paper, the Tianjin Second Intermediate People's Court announced that it accepted a case on September 28 regarding the prosecution's application to confiscate illegal gains from Qian Zhimin, the actual controller of Lantian Gerui. The case involves 61,896 BTC, as well as other crypto assets like BCH, BSV, XRP, DOGE, along with cash, jewelry, and other properties. Prosecutors allege that between 2014 and 2017, Qian Zhimin illegally raised approximately 40.378 billion yuan through Lantian Gerui, causing losses of about 19.977 billion yuan to over 102,000 investors, before fleeing to the UK with a Bitcoin wallet. The crypto assets involved in the case have been seized by UK judicial authorities. Meanwhile, the UK High Court recently ruled that the ownership dispute over approximately 61,000 BTC should be governed by Chinese law. The core issue in the case revolves around whether victims are entitled to the appreciation of the Bitcoin assets. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/tianjin-court-accepts-qian-zhimin-case-60k-bitcoin-forfeiture-70040
