According to Yonhap News, South Korea's National Tax Service Commissioner Lim Gwang-hyun stated during a parliamentary audit on October 13 that they are preparing to announce detailed crypto asset taxation rules in November, aiming to implement the related tax system as planned on January 1, 2027. Under current laws, annual profits exceeding 2.5 million KRW from personal crypto asset trading and lending will be taxed at a combined rate of 22%, with the first tax filings expected in May 2028. This includes tax recognition for staking, airdrops, hard forks, and DeFi transactions. Additionally, the National Tax Service acknowledged the difficulty in tracking taxes for transfers between personal wallets and is currently coordinating with the country's top five crypto exchanges to build a taxation system. https://www.(wublock123.com)/news/south-korea-crypto-tax-rules-november-22pct-2027-70034
