Two key takeaways from Williams:
1️⃣ 2026 might see the last rate hike.
The Fed's current policy rate is 3.75%–4.00%. Williams thinks there might be one more hike this year, but he hasn’t committed to it.
2️⃣ No rate hikes in 2027.
He believes inflation pressures from tariffs, energy prices, etc., are likely to ease, and the U.S. economy isn’t showing signs of overheating overall.
Feels like the Fed might be nearing the end of this rate hike cycle. But for Crypto, these are the three things I’m focusing on:
① U.S. 10-year real yield
If it keeps dropping, that’s usually more favorable for BTC and ETH.
② BTC, ETH ETF fund flows
If we see consecutive days of net inflows again, it could signal improving institutional demand.
③ ETH/BTC ratio
If BTC stays stable and ETH/BTC starts climbing steadily, it might indicate a recovery in market risk appetite.
For high-volatility assets, I’ll stay cautious—especially avoiding leveraging up too early just because the so-called rate hike cycle might be ending.
