[Report: Blackstone-backed data center operator AirTrunk delays $1.5 billion REIT listing]
According to a report by Golden Finance, sources familiar with the matter revealed that data center operator AirTrunk has postponed its planned real estate investment trust (REIT) initial public offering in Singapore to next year due to rising interest rates and market volatility suppressing investor demand. Sources stated that the Blackstone Group-backed company had originally planned to officially begin assessing investor interest in the $1.5 billion REIT listing transaction in early October. To attract investors, AirTrunk had considered raising the yield of its REIT from the previously expected 5.5% to approximately 6%; however, due to the U.S. interest rate hike in September and the possibility of further rate increases in the future, investors remain cautious.
