When institutions choose infrastructure, it's different from us aping into meme coins. They don't care about narratives; they focus on three things: whether the tech can withstand scrutiny, whether people are actually using it, and whether people are actually paying for it.
Let’s take @primus_labs as an example:
Tech: The zkTLS paper is set to appear at USENIX Security in 2024, and the zkFHE paper has also been accepted by USENIX Security for 2026. These are top-tier security conferences that require peer review.
Usage: Over 1 million total users, including plugin users, Dev Hub developers, and zkTLS application users.
Payment: More than 10 enterprise-paying clients, spanning stablecoins, AI, L2, and social.
Primus was formerly known as PADO. Back in 2023, they received funding from the Ethereum Foundation and PSE, and have grown into today’s institutional privacy infrastructure. Privacy and verification need to become prerequisites for institutions to go on-chain, and the underlying tech itself must first withstand validation.
