Elon Musk invites his doppelgänger to the U.S. for a dance-off A barbecue chef from Tongchuan, Shaanxi, named Ma Jianping, has gone viral because he looks *too much* like Elon Musk. Netizens have nicknamed him 'Grill Musk.' A casually filmed video blew up online, doubling his business and earning him hundreds of thousands of followers. But the guy himself? Totally chill. He said, 'Traffic is temporary, but flavor lasts a lifetime,' then wiped down his grill and got back to work. His partner even chimed in, 'No matter how famous you get, don’t let it go to your head.' Meanwhile, Musk saw the video at an event. His first reaction wasn’t, 'Whoa, that’s uncanny,' but instead, 'I’m guessing it’s probably not real,' suspecting it might be AI face-swapping. Then he rationalized it with probabilities: 'China has 1.4 billion people, and I’ve got some Asian facial features. The odds of finding someone who looks like me are ridiculously high. Nothing to be surprised about.' Finally, he dropped the ultimate line: 'If that guy really exists, I’d love to invite him on stage to dance or perform together. That would be absolutely hilarious.' Netizens immediately flooded Grill Musk Ma Jianping’s account, shouting, 'Elon Musk wants you to dance! This is your chance!' Ma Jianping replied with just three words: 'No way, right?' followed by three facepalm emojis. A guy who spends his days flipping skewers hears that the world’s richest man wants to invite him on stage, and his first reaction is, 'No way, right?' That’s more genuine than any PR statement could ever be. One guy runs rockets in Texas, the other grills skewers in Tongchuan. Both are named Ma. Musk thought it was funny and casually extended an invite, while Ma Jianping found it absurd and facepalmed. The funniest part of this whole thing? Neither of them took it seriously, which somehow made the whole situation even more entertaining. Honestly, what are the odds of this happening? Maybe slightly better than winning the lottery?
