THE BLOCK: Aptos has launched an opt-in encrypted mempool on its mainnet, allowing users to conceal transaction details until a block is finalized to help protect against MEV attacks, including front-running and sandwich attacks.
The protocol-native feature encrypts transaction payloads while validators order transactions, with the contents decrypted only after consensus is reached; sender addresses and gas fees remain visible.
