Commissioned Ziwa 2 Earth Dam Irrigation Project in Soy Constituency, Uasin Gishu County. The KSh147 million project will put 500 acres of land under irrigation, benefiting 1,000 farmers by enabling year-round agricultural activity, increasing agricultural productivity and boosting their incomes. The project is part of our wider plan to build 50 mega dams, 200 medium-size dams and 1,000 micro dams across the country to expand irrigation, reduce dependence on rain-fed agriculture and strengthen our food security.
